RSVPs

I am so tired of chasing RSVPs down.

Is it okay for me to just count anyone who didn't RSVP out?

My RSVP date was less than 3 weeks after the invites went out so I am planning on giving people extra time... maybe an extra week?

What would you do?

Re: RSVPs

RSVP's are the worst. I think so many people just assume you know they're coming so they don't bother calling.

I wouldn't count them out...i'd call...text or email them. You don't want an issue with people showing up that you didn't account for.

Re: RSVPs

THis drove me nuts during the planning for DDs party-it could go either way. Either they could assume you know they are coming so don't RSVP OR they don't plan on coming so they don't RSVP. Either way they really throw a wrench in your planningChat Icon Chase those #@&^% down! Make them commit one way or the otherChat Icon

Re: RSVPs

It's mostly DH's friends - my friends and family have mostly replied.

I will make him chase them down Chat Icon

Dont count them out because you know almost all of them will show up and then you won't have enough food Chat Icon

I do "regrets only" on my invitations. It works out a lot better

Re: RSVPs

I found that usually the people that didn't RSVP are coming and assume you know they are coming. Chat Icon
It is very annoying. I've been doing "regrets only" for the last few parties and that seems to work out better.

Re: RSVPs

I'm always so nervous that "regrets only" is too open ended and would leave me assuming more people are coming than not. I guess I just like to know either way........ I'd hunt down those that didn't RSVP.
