But will it pass the rigorous car inspection tests they have here?
It is almost almost a guaranteed 500 every two years, if you are lucky. (I’m bitter for failing my inspection last week for the stupidest thing)

Just the fact that it's a possibility is awesome. Maybe it won't work for automobile tires, but there are a lot less intense tires, like hand trucks, bicycles, wagons, etc. Or, rubber for things like hoses, gaskets, etc. It could also be used as one ingredient in car tires. Modern tires are made from such a wide variety of things, maybe they could add 10% dandelion rubber to tires.
I have a pickup truck. I wish 4 new tires only cost $500... My tires are around $250 each....

Didn’t think of the other things as well. But some of that stuff is also under the inspection thing they have here.
Yeah, my tires aren’t that much. I also have two sets because they require winter tires here by law. My stupid inspection thing is for not having the correct paperwork for the rims that a previous owner put on. So I have to pay for the paperwork.

interesting. good info.
on the cost of tires. everyone in my household has a "larger" vehicle and ALL the tires we purchase are the not-cheap kind, which hurts my feelings every time someone needs new tires.
both DS and i got new tires within the last three months. i believe he spent $1k and i spent about $800. good times!

What if they made lawn mower tires out of dandelions.... and then those lawn mowers cut down more dandelions to make more tires....
