Rules of the road...
I'm embarrassed to admit, but there are quite a few things I'm unsure of.
For example: do you always have to stop when you are behind a stopped school bus? What if they don't stick out the little 'STOP' sign?
What if you are on the other side of the street? Do you have to stop then??
Also, what are the rules for corners with no stop signs---but have a school crossing (and a guard during school hours...?)

YES you have to stop but when the flashing lights are on... if they are off and the bus is on the side...no
If you are coming from the opposite direction and the flashing lights are on YES STOP.

Re: Rules of the road...
You must stop for a School Bus when the red lights are flashing regardless of what side of the road you are on. My friend got points on her license and a $250 ticket when a bus was on the opposite side of a 4 lane street with a divider between them.
