runners - do you carry ID?
After 20+ years of running, I was flooded by a feeling of what would happen if I were hit by a car yesterday when I saw an ambulance pass me. I don't carry anything with me, except an mp3 player.
Should I print a label with phone numbers on it and stick it on my mp3 player? I don't want to get a bracelet, b/c I won't wear it all the time.
Does anyone have something that attaches to their shoe? or should my label be sufficient?

I carry my cell phone. An ambulance can call my 'ice' contacts.

I have a shoe tag...it loops under the laces and has my emergency contact person on there. I got it at my local running store for like a buck!
Come to think about it I haven't attached it to my new sneakers...I better get on that.
Great reminder though....this is very important! Thanks

I always have my wallet in my stroller.
2 years ago while running, my dad got jumped and knocked out unconscious. You can never be too safe.

I don't run- but when I walk outside I always carry either my cell phone or my driver's license- just in case...

I do the same when I bike. Before I heard of ICE I carried a card that had emergency contact info and any medical allergies.
It's a good idea to have it.

for those who run with your cell phone - don't you get annoyed by it? the mp3 player is enough.
I should get a shoe attachment - seems like the best idea - but I think I will make a label for my mp3 player as well

i just got the roadid bracelet. its good because you enter all your information online and first responders can access all of your emergency contacts, allergy info, and prior medical history, and the hospital can access your insurance info.
