Runners--Cross training

Hello Runners!

I'm training for the 1/2 marathon with DH, and Tuesday is supposed to be our "cross training" day. What do you do? We need some fun suggestions--DH hates the gym, so it would be nice if it didn't involve the gym but we're both open to anything.

For cross training I usually just go on the elliptical for 40-60 min.

Do you guys have bikes? You can ride your bikes on a bike trail? Or maybe roller blade (not sure if thats considered x-training but its not running at least)

i usually do my cross training on a bike (use the stationary bikes at the gym) for however long my training schedule says that week. I will admit, i sometimes skip the cross training and use those days as rest days. Chat Icon

I do Jillian Michael workout DVSs or power walk and pilates. i have my gym membership on hold right now, so I try to do things convenient.

We do have bikes. We'd put them away for the winter, but maybe we'll bring them out again.

We're doing the NJ Half in Long Branch through Team in Training! Only week 2, but so far, so good!
