Runners...what do you wear in the colder months when running outside
I want to be comfortable. Are there any specific garment types to look for?

I layer because I start out freezing and then end up taking clothing off as I run & heat up. I wear UnderArmour that they now make sweat-wicking and I will put at least another top & possibly a jacket over that. With the pants, I will wear UnderArmour with an additional running pant over that. I just try to make sure everything is "coolmax" type material so I don't stay wet. I also have running gloves that turn into mittens with a pullover cuff for the fingers.

I have a Nike windbreaker style that has a mesh lining. I also use a 1/2 zip heavy sweat-wicking long sleeve shirt. I bought a mens size so it would be big and go over my layers comfortably. In the dead of winter, I wear a running fleece...made by Running Times. None of my items have a hood b/c I won't run outside in the rain.

If you take off your clothes as you heat up? Where do you put them if you run outside?

Under Armour Cold Gear - love their shirts! I just picked another one up for only $20 in the outlet! Make sure you get cold gear and not heat gear though!
If it is cold, like 30-40's or lower, I wear the under armour plus a fleece. I also wear either a hat or a head band. On my legs I wear Nike running tights (didnt like the under armour ones). Also gloves on my hands! If I get hot I will tie a layer around my waist. I have also stashed my shirts along the route and picked them up on the way back! Haha
Never had to wear more than that but I dont go out if its below 20, even below 30 is pushing it!

I know I'm in the minority, but I wear good, old fashioned sweats. I have a few pairs of sweatpants that are comfy for running, but not too heavy. On top I wear a long sleeve shirt and a hoodie (I tie the hoodie around my waist if I get hot). I also wear gloves and something to cover my ears.
