Running in cold weather
Please tell me exactly what I should buy to wear for the cold weather. Are running tights the best way to go or cold weather pants? What about socks? My feet are always so cold!

I like to wear tights, if its super cold I will wear windpants on top. I like Nike, UA or Lululemon - the Lululemon Alpine tights are pricey but I love them.
Nike has these mock neck shirts and they have a fleece-y type lining that I really like. I wear that with a half zip pullover and then a jacket.
The most important things for me are gloves and a hat. I have Lululemon gloves that I love since the thumb pulls back to make using the ipod easier and there is also a slot to see your garmin.
Socks - wear non cotton socks. Wool or synthetic is best.

I definitely think the running tights are the way to go...I refused to use them for a very long time because of how hideous I find them but, ever since the first time I used them, I haven't looked back. I have a pair of Brooks that I love and the Asics ones are also pretty good.
For my top I usually just just wear a tank and a tight zip up and a pair of gloves.
Socks, I just go with thick cotton socks. As the PP said, I have heard wool is the best but I am allergic so I can't use them.

I love the nike pro combat tops. They are so warm! I wear nike lined pants as well! Actually everything i wear is nike i use thier gloves too but my hands alwasy get so hot I end up taking them off. Lululemon does have great gloves though! Key for me is headband becuase my ears are always cold!
