Running out of ideas for lunch!

I so don't know what to eat any more. I am so very frustrated! I am such a cold cuts girl!

I try to bring leftovers but sometimes there just aren't any.

What do you ladies do?

Yesterday was soup. I've also had homemade macaroni salad or mac & cheese. Or egg sandwiches from the bagel place.

You could always have grilled chicken on a roll in place of cold cuts?

Until your third trimester when you aren't supposed to eat peanut butter anymoreChat Icon It's enough to drive someone insane!

Anyway, I eat a lot of grilled cheese, that is because it is what I can stomach. Soup is a good alternative as well.

And you can still have cold cuts, just from a reputiable place and not that often.

I didn't know either til my doctor mentioned the dreaded words "a new study says" and that new study said that there is an increased risk of peanut allergies when peanut products (including pb) are consumed by the mother in the 3rd trimester or a child very young.

I LOVE pb and *was* going to just ignore it, but my DH pointed out that "it would really suck to have a kid who was allergic to peanuts" so I am trying not to eat them. Although last night I did have a few cashews. Its hard for me b/c I could actually keep peanut butter down, and I can't keep much down.Chat Icon

Re: Running out of ideas for lunch!

Oh, just reread this and saw you said we could eat it UNTIL the third trimester, I thought you said before. So, it's not too late for me, I could stop in a few weeks!

Re: Running out of ideas for lunch!

I have been eating frozen weight watchers entrees and a piece of fruit most days. I've also bring in leftovers from time to time.

I just watched someone heat up an Amy's burrito and put together a nice little side salad while it cooked. It looked good I think I'll try that next week. She brings in 5 frozen burritos and a bag of salad in on Mondays and stores it in the fridge to have all week.

When I was losing weight I used to make a veggie soup every Sunday and divide it into 5 containers for the week. I was thinking I'll make a soup (just not as completely fat free as that was) and get some really good multigrain rolls like the ones from whole foods and have that for lunch. I need to up my veggie intake anyway.

I really miss cold cuts too and I was thinking of cooking my own turkey breast and slicing it thin to make sandwiches.

I am on a big cheese with mustard kick...on a toasted bagel or toasted english muffin. I also make soup or ramen noodles not with the soup mix it comes with but with butter and parmesan cheese(to avoid the salt in the mix).
