running out of time
Hello ladies, I decided to move over here from LIW finally. We are expecting our first bundle due Christmas day!!!!! I am such a procrastinator though, I have not found a ped yet.....  I live in Smithtown but am willing to travel up to 10 or 15 minutes away. PLEASE reccommend your ped in my area, FM if you want. Thank you so much!

Not to worry about the ped - I had my ped recommended during childbirth.
I'm not from Smithtown so no recommendations - just wanted to welcome you.

Thank you so much this is my first so I have no clue what I am doing here.. So my hospital will give me a ped? A friend of mine told me I need to choose one before I deliver! She freaked me out

Welcome & Congratulations!!
Your hospital can recommend one for you but people usually do some interviewing or choose one by word of mouth. I am not near you so I can't recommend but I know you will get great rec's on here!

I could be wrong (my memory of that time is really fuzzy from sleep deprivation), but I think your DC has to be seen by a ped before they are sent home- however, I don't think it has to be the ped that will be taking care of your child from then on- my DD was seen at the hospital by a different ped not from the practice I chose.
