running water pipes to the fridge
Um, so let's look past the fact that we idiots and bought a fridge with an ice maker without first checking to make sure there was a water line to the old fridge in the first place...
How expensive / invasive is it usually for a plumber to run the water line to the fridge from the basement?
My parents had it done and said it was no big deal and not invasive. Any other experiences?

Re: running water pipes to the fridge
if the wall the fridge is on has plumbing it's not that bad. They will have to get into the wall to get to the pipes though.

They didn't run an actual pipe, just a small hose. So not bad at all.

We did the same, we ran it from the water pipe through the ceiling in the basement and up to the fridge. We bought the kit from HD, was less than $ 10 and very easy to do

Oooh good to know. I think my engineer hubby can probably figure that one out.
Wait until he learns he has a new job to do.
