Running with Scissors
Anyone read it? I did this thing where you send letters to people, they send to more people who then send you books. You're supposed to get 36 books (it's kinda like a chain letter, but everyone only sends 1 book and 6 letters)....

I read it and I liked it a lot. Very different from the movie. It was funny at times and shocking at others. Definitely worth reading

I hated it.. I finished it bc I can't not read until a book is done but I thought it was awful and the movie was even worse...

I loved this book. I saw him speak at Adelphi a few years ago and he was great.
I never saw the movie and I didn't care for Dry.
PS: That sounds like a great chain letter!

oh good! Yeah the chain letter is a pretty cool idea--you could probably start it with your friends if you wanted to. Basically you send a letter to six people telling them to send a letter to 6 people with your address in it. Each person they send a letter to should send you a book, and then send 6 of their own letters, so ideally you would get 36 books. The 6 people you send the letter to would send a book to the person who sent you the letter
