Are Russell Crowe and wife Danielle Spencer going their separate ways?

According to The Sydney Morning Herald (in the actor's home country of Australia), the couple, who have been married for nine years, are calling it quits.

Russell's incredibly full film schedule is said to be part of the reason for the reported separation, according to the paper, as the Oscar-winning actor has six films coming out next year, including "Man with the Iron Fists," "Les Miserables," "Broken City," "Man of Steel," "Noah," and "Winter's Tale."

Danielle, a singer/songwriter, recently competed on Australia's "Dancing with the Stars," coming in second with professional partner Damian Whitewood.

Russell and Danielle met 22 years ago on the set of "The Crossing," and dated, but eventually broke up.

The couple reconciled years later, and married in a chapel built especially for Danielle in 2003.
They have two children together - sons Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6.

A rep for Russell was not immediately available for comment on the reported split when contacted by Access Hollywood on Sunday.
