Rye Playland in Rye, NY
Anyone been recently????? I remember going when I was younger but it's been a while.
How is it? Is there anything to do for adults?

OMG, I went like last summer
My friend and I were full on adults, surrounded by kids/teenagers.
It's like one flag but who cares, there are no lines.

There's a Tiki bar!
Did you grow up in Westchester? My DH did & he won't ever go , b/c he says it's sketch. I think he's just a snob though. 
I went once in my early twenties ( before DH) & it was early in the season so not much was open but we won dumb stuff at the arcade.

We just went to Six Flags on Tuesday so I was trying to find something more local for us to do within the next two weeks.
But I don't think its worth $60 at the door for 1 flag

I just got a, um, less than sober review from the Dirtyblonde on said Tiki Bar...
The bar is good, the band sucks...
oh and the sangria (I think that's what she was talking about ) was good too.

the tiki bar is accessabile through the playland parking lot
it's at the end of the pier - not far at all. crowd was decent.
we wre gonna go on ridees but were way too drunki to bother
go to billie blue eyes for drinks - he's nice
sangria is delish to PVT (can I call yo that?) - go to the tiki bar
but screw that band - they were boring

I was just informed that they're closing Rye Playland after this season. 
I must go one more time in my life.
I think we should put together a CF! board GTG and go there.

@Tourist - the DB does not lie when she says the texts were poetry.
It was poetry at it's finest.
The deal that I've heard about Playland closing (this was from my sis and BIL who live up in Fairfield, CT) is that they're looking for funding from the state and they haven't received any yet.
The understanding was that this would be the last season, so I'm not sure about the year and a half thing.
However, I don't want to take any chances and miss my opportunity to go one last time to Rye Playland.
So anyone interested in making this GTG a go, let me know!
I'm an EXCELLENT drinker, just ask DB
