S E X and pregnancy

Are you ever scared to have sex while being pregnant? I am 16 weeks and DH and I have not had sex since before I found out ( I know, TMI). I have a history of miscarriage (3 before DD was born) and am scared having s e x could cause one. Am I nuts? Since entering the second trimester its all I think about Chat Icon . When I was pregnant with DD we never did it and then I was put on pelvic rest due to a low lying placenta.

Unless your doctor tells you to avoid sex, you're fine and it's safe for the baby. s/he's in her own little encased world in you and won't be bothered by mom having a little fun.

In some of the books I read, they say that the "rocking" sometimes soothes the babyChat Icon

Personally, I avoided it for the 1st trimester, but at that 13 week mark I made sure I got some! Now that I actually look pregnant, my DH is "scared he will hurt the Baby" Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon and lately, I really want it! Chat Icon (sorry TMI)
PS - The books say that an o-gasm feels like a hug for the babyChat Icon

I don't really every feel like it and it makes me nervous to have an ****** because it does cause slight contractions, so I can't really enjoy

I was nervous in the beginning but once I was into the 2nd trimester I was totally fine with having sex. In fact, for the past few weeks my desire to have sex is in overdrive and the orgasms are crazy awesome so I am going to enjoy it all now while it's still comfortable and before I am too big. i agree with you on this one. Now it just hurts, maybe since im dilated so its been a few weeks. Its just way too frustrating for me and I do not enjoy it at all.. and i have to stop b/c of contractions. I told DH, we arent doing this anymore til after the baby. poor DH...

We avoided it for the first 10 weeks or so, and then we decided to try it--and all has been fine. Better than fine. Chat Icon
