S/O tipping: gift for RE agent?
We've been working with our RE agent for 13-14 months. She has shown us at least 125 homes. At times, she even went to a few houses on her own and reported back to us so as to not waste our time (after working with us for so long, she knew exactly what we wanted). She constantly e-mailed us homes to consider. I know she gets a commission, but I was wondering whether we should get her a small gift. If you had an agent that went above and beyond, did you get them anything? If so, what did you buy the agent?

I didn't have a RE agent like that, but we did feel our attorney did a lot for us. We got him a BRU gift card (his wife was pregnant with their first child). You don't HAVE to do anything, but I think if you were happy with her work and feel she went above and beyind - I would get her something small.

Re: S/O tipping: gift for RE agent?
This is my 3rd time using our realtor, she has gone above and beyond in selling our home and now already in the 1st month of looking for a new one. She also helped us with our 1st home, but we only bothered her for 2 weeks.
When we close this time around, i'm def getting her something. She's offered to babysit my girls, take me on errands(since i don't have a car during the week), does drive bys of houses for us, give us her honest opinion and experience which i value, and even helps and plays with my girls while we look at houses so DH and I can get a good look. We are looking for a house that 30 miles from where we are now and it's a pain.
Even though they get commission, they work for a realtor company that takes a huge share of that 3% they get.

Your RE sounds wonderful. We feel like we've spent more time with our RE agent in the past year than with most of our families and friends.
You're in CT, right? Where are you looking?

I LOVE my realtor, I really do I def think of her as family and my girls love her, it's so cute, they get so excited to see her.
We are looking in New Haven County- Wallingford, Cheshire, north haven and North Branford in that order My DH works in Fairfield county, so we are also thinking about shelton or milford but my realtor doesn't cover those areas, so we haven't pull the trigger yet.
Where are you looking? I'm always excited about NY people in CT!

hmmm, maybe $40 or $50?? We gave our attorney $100 giftcard but we also used him for 3 closings and he did so much work for us.
