Great job and everything looks delicious! That pasta with sausage and broccoli dish has me salivating. I will be following for sure.
Do you have any tips for how you meal plan through the week? I'm horrible at meal planning.

Thank you so much!! That pasta dish is super quick and easy and my kids even love it! Perfect for a night when you're short on time. You can use chicken instead or a different veggie. It's even good with just the pasta and nothing else added.
As for meal planning, what works for me, is to first see what I have in the house in terms of produce and meat. That will generally dictate in what direction I go for dinner planning. Some weeks we do a lot of chicken dishes, sometimes it's a better mix of beef, chicken, and pasta. It really depends on my stash.
After I know what I have, I look at my week to see what my days are like in terms of running around and where I need to be with the kids. Days that are crazier I plan for quick and easy meals, days when I won't be home until later in the day I might plan for a Crock Pot meal so it's ready to go when we get home.
Lastly, I try to find meals where there is some crossover in terms of ingredients needed, this way I don't waste anything. For example, I might make seasoned rice one night which uses chicken stock so the next night I might make a chicken dish or a gravy/sauce that requires stock as well so nothing goes to waste.
Write down what you plan to make on each day and hang it on your fridge, this way when dinner rolls around you're all planned out and don't even have to think about what you're making that day.
My best tip though for meal planning, if it's really overwhelming and hard to plan, is to take a few index cards and on each one write down a specific meal. (garlic oil pasta, meatloaf, chicken soup, etc) On the back of the card write the ingredients needed to make that recipe. Try and make up at least 15-20 of these cards so that you have enough to rotate from week to week. On whatever day you do your meal planning just grab a few cards, put them in order of when you want to cook them that week, and simply flip them over to make a shopping list of ingredients needed.
Use those same cards from week to week, rotating so you don't get bored. Pick one day each week to try something completely new and then add that new recipe card into the rotation. Before you know it you'll have a nice collection of recipes for dinner and planning is as easy as choosing a few cards every week. No pouring over cookbooks and scrambling to find the recipe to see the ingredients needed. Store the cards in a little index card box in your cabinet so you always have them on hand. If you're feeling ambitious, buy dividers and sort the cards according to meal: chicken, beef, pasta, etc.
Hope this helps!! ...................you also just gave me another idea for a blog post!! lol

awesome! Thanks for the tips!
Another post idea, if you haven't already, is to go through all your favorite tools that you use on a regular basis.

You're welcome!! xo
I actually did a couple of blogs on kitchen tool must haves!! I even made a separate page on the blog for it. So far I have written up my vacuum sealer and KitchenAid stand mixer. I will be adding to that topic for sure. Great minds think alike.
