SA for DH any teachers with Empire I have a ??
Hi.... I am the process of testing to see why I am not getting preggers. My doc referred DH for a SA and to go to a neurologist. The guy took our insurance we paid a copay and now I am getting a letter stating it is not covered and we have to pay 127 for the SA and it says we owe that docs office 438!
I know there are teachers in my building that were in my situation and i did not hear of it being covered.
I did not get a bull from the doc yet just those statements that say not a bill but I did get a bill for the SA from Sunrise medical.
Anyone have this happen to them?
Thanks ladies!

No, I'm surprised. My hubby is a teacher and we haven't paid a dime to the RE (not even copays) except once for bloodwork. I was actually told that the first $50k of IVF is covered even.

I am a teacher, and I have Empire insurance.
I dont know for a fact, but I am almost positive that ALL of that is covered. If you end up getting a bill just call Empire and I am sure they will straighten it all out.
Good luck

I have the Empire plan and I'm pretty sure they changed labs I think the lab now is lab corp and Sunrise will be considered out of network so there will be a fee

That is fine if that is he case. But the doctor visit to the neurologist doesnt seem to be covered. That is the bigger issue 438!
