Sad ? but...
do you have arrangements for your pets should something happen to you and your DH?
We do, though it is nothing legal. I did talk to ppl about it, crazy I know but you never know what life has in store. For now, my MIL has agreed to take them, and I know she would be great with them. My brother (who is only 20) said when he is older and has a place of his own, he would be willing to take them should something happen.

 I never really thought about it - but have been starting to think about a will and life insurance.
I would hope that one of my cousins would take the puppies becuse the kids love Molly. I'm actually going to talk to them about it this weekend - thanks for bringing this up!
I'm sure my parents would take them but they both work in the city so they would be alone all day.

Not crazy at all! I actually discussed it with DH before we adopted them. We put it in our will that the cats to go my sister (if she is out of school and independent) or my best friend and his fiancee.

Absolutely!Not only have I arranged a home for them, but money too!
I can't imagine them losing the only people they love , then going to goodness knows where, a shelter etc.....

No, but DH and I both come from large, animal-loving families. My sister would never let anything happen to Ebs. And I know that if nothing else, my cousin and her kids would take him.

We signed a contract with the breeder that if something should happen to us both and no one is interested in taking Murphy he MUST go back with her.

I have a stipulation in the will to cover the cost of care for my pets, along with a bonus which is allocated to more than one family member.
