Sad Hubby
Just got a call from my husband. After weeks of intense studying for a promotion, he failed getting his new job by a point. He needed an average of 98 and his average was 97. He's so upset right now. I feel awful. Although I must admit that a part of me is relieved, since if he passed he would have had to go away for a month. I'm sorry if that sounds selfish, but I would have missed him terribly.

Re: Sad Hubby
Yeah and I know he's gonna feel bad. I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to make him feel better. He's going to feel like a failure. Just like a typical man.
I'm still proud of him. So he didn't get the promotion. Who cares! I still love him and I'm proud of him no matter what.

Re: Sad Hubby
Would he be able to take the test again?
Maybe make him a special dinner to try to cheer him up. Lots of might work too!!!

I'm a big believer that things happen for a reason. That one point made the difference. I know it's not something he wants to hear (so I wouldn't tell him) but I figure I'd tell you

Re: Sad Hubby
a month is a long time!! I don't know how military wives do it. Don't feel guilty, you would have just missed him. Hope he feels better about it soon. It is tough since his score was so close
