Safe finger paints for a one year old?

Does anyone know where to find this? I looked in Toys and Babies R Us - no luck. Also stopped in KayBee too.

I just got the Crayola ones at Target.

They are non-toxic and I will be with her when she uses them. Ale did this in a class we observed and loved it. I thought she was too young....guess not!

Check AC Moore or Michael's.

I got a fingerpainting set at AC Moore. The recommended ages are older, but I think with your supervision it would be fine for a year old. They are non-toxic paints.

I use Crayola non toxic ones, but i waited until they don't stick anything in their mouths anymore to use the paints.

When they were one, I let them use pudding :)

I had the Tadoodles paints from Crayola when DS was between 12-18 months. Not finger paints really, they're like these chunky ball-shaped things with a brush on the end, and paint comes out. Honestly they aren't the greatest things in the world, the paint comes out very unevenly.... but it was a little less messy than finger paint and he seemed to like it.

That is a great idea - I was just thinking that if I give DD finger paint, it's going to paint her teeth!!!

That is a really great idea! Maybe I'll start her out with the pudding to see how she does. She was eating crayons last night Chat Icon

This is a great idea ! Jacob still eventually puts everything in his mouth. I tried crayons and of course he tried to eat em, this may be the solution!!!
