Safest place for infant carseat in a minivan?

So we dont have one yet, but will be getting a mini van very very soon.

So I'm sitting her at work, bored, and pondering where the safest place is for the infant carseat. My two other DC's will be in their convertible or high back boosters (with 5 point harness)

Are they bench seats or seperate in the middle row?

I can have it either way, so we have them together ,and I think it is safer in the middle

Part of the answer depeds on the minivan you purchase. The majority no longer have bench seats in the second row. As a result there is no middle location. Some have the passage to get to the third row in between the second row seats, some have the passage on the passenger side.

Regardless, the infant seat will most likely be placed on the passenger side. For more specific information, please give more information on the vehicle you will be purchasing

I have Paxton in the seat on the passenger side of the first row (still rear facing). Clover and Roman are in the back row in their car seats.

i would put the infant behind the passenger seat, the middle child behind the driver and the oldest in the 3rd row.
