Yes. With my bank. I think it's around $90/year.

Re: Safety Deposit Box

We have one, I think it's $25 or $30 a year, but we have the smallest size they have. But I've been rethinking it since if something happened to both DH and I nobody could get into it until the probate was settled and I keep stuff like the kids birth certificates in there. Might go back to the fire proof box again.

Re: Safety Deposit Box

We have one with our credit union, I can't remember how much it is. DH is kinda anal about off-site storage, fire-proof safes are only rated to burn for a certain amount of time.

That is what I am saying...We have fireproof safes now. A friend of mine had one & her house burnt to the ground (in FL) & the papers were not salvaged...So it made me rethink having one in the house....

Re: Safety Deposit Box

Exactly, the way I see it the Safety Deposit boxes are so inexpensive, why not do it. Just for those really important things that you couldn't replace - or that would be a major PIA to replace.

Re: Safety Deposit Box

We have one at our bank (commerce) and it cost us $85 a year and it is a fairly decent size. It depends on the size that you get--I think there is a cheaper one then this.
