safety gates recommendations?
Please recommend your gates for the top of the stairs. Does anyone have them at the bottom too?
Does anyone have a gate to protect you big screen tv & stand?
How old was DC when you got them?
Thanks!

Re: safety gates recommendations?
We actually have real doors at the top and bottom of the stairs, so we didn't have to worry about gates. For stairs, I would make sure you get the ones that screw into the wall. You don't want DC to lean too hard on the pressure-mounted ones, and possibly push it over. I know they are touted as not having that happen, but I would rather be safe than sorry, especially at the top of the stairs.
We got a gate to separate another room, however. It mounts to the wall. We got it before DS started crawling. I always get and do things before they are needed, because I don't like to find out afterwards that he could do something that I didn't expect.

We use the Evenflo Top of Stair gate but we have them on their bedroom doors rather than the stairs. I read a few places it's safer that way, if they climb it and fall over you have time to get to them before they fall down the stairs.
We have this Wide Spaces Swing Gate across part of our den to block off the tv, stereo and computer. Not great looking but definately does the job.
