Salad Dressings... Share your favorite!
I haven't been eating much salad lately so one of my resolutions for 2010 is to eat MORE! I feel like I am in a salad dressing rut  .
What is your favorite salad dressing (either brand and type or recipe)?

trader joe's red wine vinegarette....so yummy!
i also make my own (i like tangy) using:
finely chopped red onions
finely chopped cilantro
xtra virgin olive oil
mustard powder
garlic powder
celery seed powder
basil
red wine vinegar
a splash of lemon juice
and some dijon mustard
and sometimes just a HINT of brown sugar (in case it came out way too tangy)
(all according to taste)
do you ever pump up your salads with veggies or beans? i do that sometimes, and it is rather filling, especially if I add in garbanzo beans or broccoli

If I am buying it from the store, I like Brianna's French Vinaigrette - it's fantastic - a little tart and very flavorful.
When I make dressing I like Basil vinaigrette.. I have a challenge with 'amounts' becuase I kind of throw things in - but I'll give it a shot.
Into my 4 cup mini prep I throw:
5 garlic cloves
1 good sized handful of basil (maybe a bit more)
2/3 cup of good quality olive oil
1/3 cup of red wine vinegar
Splash of balsamic vinegar
teaspoon of good dijon mustard
Pinch of sugar
salt & pepper to taste
It's the easiest thing in the world but it gets crazy amount of raves from people.
Another big favorite is strawberry vinaigrette. I slice up maybe.. 20 strawberries? Pour balsamic vinegar over them and let them masturate for about an hour. Then I throw them in my mini prep with some olive oil, salt, pepper and a mint leaf. It's nice!

Lately, just oil, balsamic and s&p.
But I loooove Annies Goddess and now it's somehow $5 a bottle!!!  But so good!

Marie's makes a Yogurt Dressing.......Ranch and Parmesan are delicious.....and less fattening than a Regular dressing.
