Salads-Please post your favorite

I made a salad last night, it is so good, I made it for a snack today.

Spinach leaves
blue cheese crumbles
dried cranberries
walnuts
balsamic vinegar
(can add some chicken for protein)

Please post your favorite salads so I can diversify.

My newest favorite is:

Mixed greens
Pan Fried Ramen Noodles
Mandarin Oranges
Red Onion

Dressing: Rice wine vinegar, Dash of sesame oil, Olive oil, ginger, lemon, little bit of soy, little sugar, garlic - toss in mini prep and beat it up. Season with s&p as needed. Toss with salad.

My House Standby is:

Olive oil
Red wine vinegar
Balsamic vinegar
LOTS of garlic cloves
LOTS of basil leaves
squirt of honey
salt and pepper

Toss over:
Mixed greens or romaine
Red Onion
Grape Tomatoes (or roasted tomatoes if no good tomatoes around)
Sliced Cucumber
Diced Bell Pepper (sometimes)
Diced Apple (Sometimes)
Cardini's Caesar Croutons or homemade Garlic croutons


And for summer:

Lemon
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper

Tossed with:
Any kind of greens.

I usually just make a salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and croutons. boring but satisfying.

However, this post made me think of my favorite salad I used to get at this Italian restaurant.

It was Iceburg Lettuce with lots of Shredded Mozzarella, Mushrooms (the marinated kind I think), Steamed Broccoli, Cucumbers, Green Peppers, and Kalamata Olives. Then it had this delicious Italian Dressing. MMM... they stopped making it when the place was taken over by new owners but wow was it good!

I always get tons of compliments on this salad:

baby greens
green apple diced (or pear)
Gorgonzola cheese
dried cranberries
fennel
thin sliced almonds (or pecans)

Home made salad dressing:
White balsamic vinegar (I LOVE this and am addicted to it!)
Olive oil
I do a 50/50 portion. To it I add salt, garlic powder, onion powder and dried oregano.

I have never had leftovers of this salad ever....

juice from mandarin oranges

Cherry tomatoes
Black olives
Dried craisins
FF thousand island dressing

with a poppy seed dressing! YUM!

mesclun greens, mango, avocado and walnuts. You can use your dressing of choice, but something that accents the fruit.

Romaine
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Red onions
some parsley/dill
olives

oil/vinegar/s&p
balsamic vinegar

My new favorite is

Baby spinach or arugula
Strawberries (or I'll use dried cranberries)
Goat cheese
Walnuts
Raspberry vinaigrette

Another Favorite:

Romaine lettuce or red leaf
Tomatoes
Onions
Diced avocados
Chopped cilantro
Oil and red wine vinegar
A little salt and pepper

i fave is romaine lettuce, red onions, chick peas, feta or goat cheese, olives and sun dried tomatoes.

mine is yours but add arugula w/the spinach. Sometimes gorgonzola or feta. Yum!

I like mixed field greens and baby spinach with dried cranberries, candied walnuts, chickpeas and lots of feta cheese with raspberry vinaigrette dressing.

Now I want one!
