Salary on Long Island

Right now I am in a Queens Catholic High School and I absolutely love it!!! But, as many may know, the salary isn't that great.....I was wondering if anyone knew of a website with Nassau's salary scale...I'm not planning to leave the school anytime soon, I'm just trying to research options.

Thanks

Re: Salary on Long Island

I don't think there's any site offhand that will list salaries, but from what I know of my friends salaries in catholic schools - you could very well start in Nassau Cty at close to double your current salary. Suffolk typically pays a little less than Nassau.

Re: Salary on Long Island

I just bumped an old thread for you. There's a link on the first page to salaries from 2004-05 and it will give you a basic idea. HTH

I just realized the thread was in NFR. You'll see it, it's called teacher's salaries

Re: Salary on Long Island

just to note: unlike the NYC dept. of ed. or the Diocese of Brooklyn, EACH school district in Nassau and Suffolk have different salaries. The independent school board and community sets the pay scale...like anywhere else, property taxes play a role... usually districts with higher property tax rates have higher teacher salaries. also, years of experience and education put you on a different scale.

GOOD LUCK!
