salary scales available online?
Are the salary scales for any school districts in the area available online? I am helping someone contemplating a long-term career move and we just wanted to look at them for general reference purposes.

This is NYC's Salary Scale. It is hard to find LI's salary scales. Sometimes you can see teacher's salaries in the district's Board of Ed minutes.

if you want, FM me her current step and degree level (i.e. Step 8 and MA +45 or whatever) and I'll tell you what she would make in my Nassau Co. district.

this is a link to 04/05 salaries. You can add 3.25% for each year as an approx. increase.
---09/10 salary = 04/05 salary*1.0325*1.0325*1.0325*1.0325*1.0325
if it's a career change, I would look for the MA salaries - step 1
