Salmon , Scallops or Talipia receipes...

I am not sure which I am going to cook tonight, but not sure what Talipia tastes like I have been hearing it is yummy. Is it fishy tasting? Also, any recipes what I can do with that, scallops, or salmon? Also , small scallops or the big ones? I posted on this board becuase there is more traffic here. Thanks in advance. Chat Icon

Scallops and salmon I find that simple is best.

A little garlic and oil on the scallops and baked for a bit is nice.

Salmon is good with some dill and oil. Alot of recipes call for soy or teriyaki sauce on the salmon which is nice too.

I never made tilapia, but I had it once and the person who made it sort of went sweet with it. (Some nuts, sugar and butter.) It was of course yummy, but not really all that healthyChat Icon

I have Tilapia at least 3 times a week... I LOVE it... it's not fishy tasting at all, it's actually kind of meaty, almost like salmon but without the fat. We always put it in a tin foil bag with some olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, pepper and salt and let it bake for about 20 minutes... YUMMM!

Oh, also, for salmon, we put it in a tin foil bag with some salt, pepper and paprika on top, mixed with olive oil. Let it bake for 20 minutes and then open the bag and pour on a little soy sauce and maple syrup on the top and let it bake in the open bag for about 10 minutes. It comes out really yummy.

The big scallaps are great with butter and bread crumbs and bake for about a 20 minutse or so. yummy.

Talapia is a white fish and flaky like a filet. It is good baked with a lemon butter sauce. Also top with some toasted almonds. can basically cook anyway you would cook any white filet fish.

Salmon - I don't make often but I like it broiled/grilled - so the inside is soft but outside it crispy. I like to make a mango salsa to top it with - mango, onions, tomatoes, olive oil and salt and pepper.

Salmon...I put it in the toaster over to grill and cook it for about 40 mins. on 350. I add chopped garlic & olive oil & butter. It's delish!!!

Tilapia...I cut filets into thin slices and bread them. Eggs, flour, bredding & Deep fry them. I love it!!! You can also bake them, but fried is so much tastier!

Re: Salmon , Scallops or Talipia receipes...

I use this sauce for a lot of fish dishes (swordfish, chilean seabass, tilapia, all types of shellfish, etc ...)

White Wine Garlic Sauce ...

Spray Olive Oil Flavored Pam in sautee pan
Sautee 4 cloves of chopped garlic for 1-2 minutes, until soft but not brown.
add 1/2 cup white wine and boil for 1 minute
add 1 can chicken broth, bring to boil and reduce heat to simmer.
add 1 cup grape tomotes & 1 bag fresh baby spinach
cover and simmer for 3 minutes (spinach will wilt)
add Fish to Pan
simmer for 10 - 20 minutes until done (depending on fish)

** Season fish with Adobo, Sazon, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder ... anything you like ... keep it simple though, the sauce is flavorful.

** If you like heat, add some red Pepper Flakes when you add the chicken broth.
