It is good. Very different. My advice is to get there early if you go on a weekend. DH & I went on a Saturday night around 7PM and were the last couple seated.

It is the kind of place where you take your time so there is not a lot of turnover. The bar was also packed that night, which is another reason to get there early.

Re: Salumi in Massapequa

it is absolutely delish!!!
definitely get there early- I like to eat at the bar and sit on the corner so me and DH (or friend) can face each other, yet still be @ the bar.

any cheese board is amazing, although I like the french the best as it comes w/ their homemade duck confit.

empanadas are amazing- right now they have a barley and truffled mushroom emapanda that is the best I've ever had there.

I haven't had anything there that I didn't like- I'm a regular- there at least 3x a month.

Yes! One of my fave restaurants. Also LOVE the pannini and meat/cheese boards. Great food and staff.

Thank you so much! We're going to first try and get some other couples together and see if they're interested, and if not we will definitely be going on our own :)

My advice is to go on your own. It is really not they type of place that can fit a large group.

Bringing one or two other couples was BF's idea. I think he is salivating over everything on the menu and afraid I won't want to eat everything he orders or order new things on my own, hehe

Re: Salumi in Massapequa

Don't worry. The portions are very tiny. And the boards have enough variety that each of you should find something you like.

If it's a group of 6 you should be okay as long as you get there really early or maybe go on a weeknight.

Either way have fun!!!

Re: Salumi in Massapequa

LOVE this place! We went as a group of six a few weeks ago on a Saturday night and didn't have a problem getting a table. We got there around 7:30 I think. The food is SOOO good and the wines are yummy! I really want to go back soon with DH, just the two of us.
