Salvation Army
Would you ever buy and wear clothing from the Salvation Army?

Re: Salvation Army
Probably not, BUT I don't know why I wouldn't... I know that I can't be the only one who has donated perfectly good clothes (with the tags still on) to them.

Re: Salvation Army
I have. When I was working I would receive compliments on something I was wearing, that happened to be either from the Salvation Army or a Thrift Store. I still stop in there every once in a while.

Re: Salvation Army
yes. you'd be surprised what's there with the tags still on it.
what i do more often now-a-days is that i guy sweaters made from expensive yarns, unravel the sweater, and re-knit something else. it's the best way to get yummy yarns when you're broke.

This is actually a really good idea.

that's a good idea that I would never have thought of. (Not that I knit! )
My answer is no. I can't even find anything in Marshall's or TJ Maxx... much left a thrift store. I have issues with finding clothes that fit for some reason. There are very few places that I can find clothes...

Re: Salvation Army
Yes I have. My friends and I used to spend a Saturday going from store to store. We would find so many brand new clothes with the tags still on them. A lot of stores also send them their seconds or out of season clothes. Last time I went out with my friend her whole outfit was froma thrift store and was less than $7, shoes included (her underwear were non-thrift store).
Anything I ever bought I always washed before wearing and they wash it too. I donate clothes every few months. One time the church called me for a pick up I had clothes but didn't have time to wash them I felt bad giving them unwashed stuff. The lady said not worry everything is washed before it is given out or sold.

Ditto. It's not an issue for me in the slightest. I just bought a dress to wear to a 20s party and I didn't even wash it before I wore it.
