Salvation Army Christmas Angels

A friend of mine organizes "Christmas Angels" to "adopt" a needy child in Suffolk County - they need all kinds of things, clothes, socks, some toys. The "Angel" gets assigned a child, shops for the child, wraps the presents with the appropriate name, etc. and drops the gifts off the the Salvation Army Center - or it can be arranged that a volunteer picks them up.

I did this last year and I can't tell you the joy I got from doing this, I really felt the meaning of Christmas in my heart, something I don't think I have felt in a long time. I knew I was going to bring a joy to some child who probably doesn't have an easy life to start with, nevertheless, doesn't have something to look forward to at Christmas.

If you are interested in becoming an Angel, maybe you can go in with a few friends to adopt one child, I knew money is tight for everyone, but it can be from a group, please message me and I can get the info to you. I can even pick up the gifts from you.
