sandwiches/lunch for DH
I'm running out of ideas, he gets a sandwich pretty much every day. He won't take anything smelly like tuna or hot food b/c he works in a medical office and doesnt want the smell lingeriing. I need sandwich ideas aside from turkey, pastrami, corned beef. He doesn't like bologna or ham and he doesn't want salami/fattening sandwiches.
What else can I give him that is easy, healthy and not smelly?

Re: sandwiches/lunch for DH
Rob is similar. He loves Boars Head Golden Classic chicken with American, lettuce, tomato, mayo and a little salt, pepper and granulated garlic. I slice the tomatoes and put them in a seperate baggie so they don't get the sandwich soggy. I usually make it on dark german wheat or potato bread. Once in a while he likes roast beef, cheddar and horseradish mayo with lettuce and tomato. Turkey & Swiss with sliced avocado, diced tomato, sprouts and a squeeze of lemon is good too.

Re: sandwiches/lunch for DH
when I need creative lunch ideas I look at the menu's from DH's fave restaurant online and copy the recipes the best i can
For example he LOVES this-
Roast beef and brie on ciabiatta
I put garlic mayo (aioli from the supermarket) on 1 side of a crusty loaf Speadable brie on the other
Some baby spinach, roast beef and red onions.
I find he loves getting suprised with his fave food but w/o having to go out

Re: sandwiches/lunch for DH
DH liked the "flavored" boars head chickens cold cuts. Buffalo chicken --I'll put a little blue cheese in the middle instead of mayo. Lemon pepper chicken with meunster chesse

Mmm..chicken salad with cut up grapes in it (red grapes) is REALLY good....
On Flat Out wraps...delish!
Also ... what about grilled chicken, baby spinach, fresh mozzerella and roasted red peppers on wraps? Yum!

Re: sandwiches/lunch for DH
I buy boars head or Sara Lee Mesquite smoke turkey breast and make hime sandwich with provolone cheese.
And if you are feeling naughy.
I will lightly butter the bread and heat it kind of like a grilled cheese, melt the provolone on it. When done put a little bit of mayo, lettuce, 2 strips of cooked bacon and some of the above mentioned turkey. It is out of this world, just not very healthy. DH asks for it all the time.

Re: sandwiches/lunch for DH
same problem with DH...
I started grilling up some extra chicken breasts, dicing them up and putting them in a pita with some shredded cheese, salsa, etc.
