She doubled her prices from last year. Does not even offer a small package. Who needs so many pictures. I thought about and I cancelled my booking for this year

Wow... Greedy companies... No thank you... I'll stick with Jcp. I've always gotten some great Xmas pics with them.

I tried to book it but at first I couldn't get into the site (wouldn't fully load) then when it finally did it was basically booked through early October. I debated a few minutes before trying to book an early October day (thought that was completely ridiculous for CHRISTMAS pictures, my infant would also have aged almost 3 months by the time people got the pictures) then once I tried to book the slot it was gone. At that point it was booked back to September, so I laughed and closed the website. There were many dates still in the $350 range but I think that's a bit steep for Christmas pictures.

I think the pictures look great, there are a few other photographers I've see on the internet doing the same thing, so it's only a matter of time before more pop up around here. It's all in the editing obviously.
I do have to say, I signed up to be on her email list, and she sent me like FIVE emails in a few hour timespan yesterday reminding me of the booking window being open. That is ridiculous

I agree, I received many emails for the new bookings I was annoyed. I think the photos are beautiful but I cannot justify it. The amount of bookings she has and the amount of money it cost this will be making over 1 million dollars.

This is a one time thing for us and my mil pays for part of her Christmas photos and Easter photos for a gift so we thought it would be fun this year. Dd saw the pics and loved the Santa so I figured it was a perfect time for them.
I calculated and she makes about 1.6M a season. She is definitely raking in the dollars for 4 months of work.

There are plenty of other photographers out there that charge way more than she does, plus I feel like these pics are the type of pics that u pretty much only do once or twice and that's it.

I agree. The other photographer I was looking into was same price. I'll probably end up going back to jcp in a couple of years but while dd is still young I want to do all of the fun Santa ones.

I agree, it's probably a once or twice thing for us too (probably twice because I'm not including my newborn this year). My oldest LOVES Santa and Christmas right now, so I like the idea of spending more time with Santa than the usual mall pics.

I agree, the amount of emails she sent in such a short time span is a bit ridiculous. 1 reminder is enough. I don't think she can possibly handle that many sessions herself. She must have other photographers working for her or doing the editing.
I was on the site and wanted to book but DS cried when I tried to get him to sit with Santa last year. I'm not paying that much money for pics of him crying, I can take those myself for free

She is definitely in over her head. My Mom booked this for my kids as a gift. She had a problem with the website getting the timeslot she wanted and emailed the woman right away. The slot she wanted sat open for a week and the woman never got back to her. It took almost 2 weeks for her to respond to multiple emails and calls and by the time she did of course the slot was booked. My Mom said that when she did speak to her she was very nice but just inundated. I hope everything else goes smoothly.
