Saratoga
DH and I are going up there this summer and we're looking for a nice hotel. Any suggestions?

Re: Saratoga
Hey J -
I lived in Saratoga when I was student teaching, but I don't remember any of the hotels to recommend. I do know that there are a ton of B&B's up there.
It's a great town - we had a blast living there!

Re: Saratoga
I stayed at the Sheraton there for a sorority formal back in the day-- it was nice.. but, if I went there-- I would prob try a boutique hotel or a B&B.
Do a search for B&Bs-- there are a couple of sites that list ones and provide reviews. Also check out Select Registry-- they are like a conglomorate of hotels and such.
Also check Trip Advisor.

Re: Saratoga
I'll ask my Dad- he lives there. Are you going during racing season (August)? The best places may be booked by now. Give me a few days...

Re: Saratoga
I worked in saratoga for 5 summers. The Courtyard Marriott is the most central to the town and shops. The Hilton Garden Inn is also close. Then you have smaller boutique hotels...Saratoga Arms and Gideon Putnam are both nice. Are you going to see anything in particular? I agree about racing season--the rates go way up and you might have a hard time getting a room even now.

We're going in July and it will be a week night. It's actually going to be a stopover on our way up to Montreal and Quebec City.
