Saturday in Queens - recommendations needed
We are going to be in Queens tomorrow for a family event tomorrow evening. We are thinking of driving in earlier as we don't want to fight the traffic on the bridges. Any recommendations on things that we can do with a 4 and 2 yr old?

Where in Queens are you going? Sadly I don't think there is too much to do...Queens Zoo maybe?

Depends on where you are in queens. The zoo is nice and has a park connected. If you are close... Jamaica bay has a nice nature center and you can watch airplanes. If you like... A trip to an airport can be exciting for kids. Queens has tons of parks that have great playgrounds. You could take a subway ride... Just for the fun of going on a train. LI beaches are not far away. I'm assuming you are not from LI as you are taking a bridge. Btw traffic isn't bad on Saturdays going to queens.

Thanks everyone. I think we are heading to the NY Hall of Science. We have an even baptism so this should work out. And yes, we are coming from NJ....thanks again.

I'm not trying to be a jerk but this answer is kind of silly as there is PLENTY to do in Queens and it's definitely not sad! lol
Off the top of my head without even looking online there is-
Hall of Science Ice Skating Queens Zoo Cunningham park Alley Pond Park Flushing Meadows Park Queens farm A ton of indoor open play places with weekend hours like Gymboree, Kids Fun House, Fun Zone, Chuck E Cheese, Kids N Shape- many more if you Google. Museum of the Moving Image Queens Botanical Garden Mini Golf/ Batting Cages

They just reopened the carousel in Forest Park, DD loves it there and there is a playground nearby.
Hall of Science is fun and there is also a playground and carousel nearby as well as just all of flushing meadow park including the queens zoo
Have fun!
