Is Breed Rescue Day at North Hempstead Animal Shelter in Port Washington sponsored by the Shelter Connection.
There will be a bunch of local breed rescues - including Weimies (Misty is REPRESENTING!) and if you are interested in rescuing or just getting a purebreed dog and are in the area it might not be a bad idea - plus you can meet the infamous MistyChat Icon
Also, they will have trainers there to help with any training questions you may have.
