Saturday's GTG - please read
Well those of you that are friends with me on FB know that a tree fell on our house on Saturday - we have been without power since then. Rockville Centre electric is estimating we will have power back by THURSDAY    .
We are all safe and no one was hurt thank goodness. Other than the electrical lines all over the backyard - which RVC electric and Verizon/Cablevision should be fixing this week - the house is safe and we don't need to fix the roof immediately as there are no leaks or anything right now.
It was absolutely TERRRIFYING hearing that tree smash into the roof over the kitchen - the boys, DH and I were literally right there and my heart nearly exploded.
So - as of now - assuming we have power back, the GTG is still on for Saturday - bring condiments  as we have had to toss absolutely everything in our fridge and freezer.
My heart goes out to everyone that had damage in this crazy storm! I will never take electric/heat/hot water for granted again!

OMG Carolyn! So glad you are all okay!  I'm sure everyone would be okay with postponing the GTG for this reason

omg, I missed this on FB!!!! How scary!!!!! Are you sure you want to keep this date? I don't want to put you out!
This storm was just awful, our basement flooded! I'm over the weather

OMG you poor thing...Is there anything else we can bring? I can make some freezable dinner sofr you , for a night or two, since I'm sure grocery shopping's not on your priority list till electric is back on? Just let me know either way, I soooo dont mind.
