Saving for baby
What IYO is the best way to save for baby? A regular savings account? Something in their name? Not in their name? Custodial account? 529? Gerber Life? So many people say so many different things but I want to start for her once I get her SSN. What do you do?

Re: Saving for baby
We opened up just a regular savings account. We might do Gerber Life too. There are so many options to choose from!

Re: Saving for baby
i just opened a joint savings for her yesterday... but that is for when we get checks for her b-day or whatever- if we had a lot of money to put away for her we might do something else...

Re: Saving for baby
are you aggressively saving for your own retirement? That's more important IMO. You can take out loans for college, you can't for your retirement and you don't want to be a burden on your kids.
ETA: our kids have 529s
