Saving Money on Kids Clothing
I noticed the threads about saving/spending money on FHF and I thought I would share that right now is the best time to stock up for next year on cold weather kids clothing. Gymboree has its 15.99 and under sale on every thing. Gymboree If you still have any parenting magazines or the kid stuff coupon book you can combine this sale with the coupon.
Crazy 8 has its 11.99 and under sale on everything. Same coupon advice as Gymboree.
Children's Place is running their Monster Sale where prices start at 2.99. They even have an additional coupon code on the website home page so remember to add it to your cart before completing your order.
If your DC is stable in sizes it is relatively easy to size up for next year. If you are unsure where your DC will be then go with a few things between two sizes. If you are completely unsure then it might not be a good idea to stock up. I personally get basics, jeans, pants, layering shirts. If there is a must have item later on, I know that I have done well shopping now. I hope this helps.
Macy's, JC Penny, and Kols also run similar sales on kids clothing right now. The reason for these sales is that they want to move the merchandise to bring in Spring clothing.
Last year I was able to get DD a brand new winter coat for $7. At the end of season sale. If anyone has any other money saving tips please share.

18-24 month or 2T. I am from the school of thought that you can always roll up pant legs/arms. 2T clothing can be the same size as 18-24 month or 24 month clothing. It depends upon the brand. Most of the time it is 1 inch longer/wider. Just so you have a point of reference my DD was like yours and wore one size larger too. She then wore 18-24 month clothing for a full year. She started to wear that size in August 10 and she can still wear 18-24 month/2T pants but she wears 3T shirts. So I got her 3T pants and 4T shirts for next year. For you I would get some 18-24 and some 2T. My logic is that you can wear jeans from September - June in NY so they should fit for some of the months if not all.

Re: Saving Money on Kids Clothing
I purchase all of dd clothing the season before. Last year I got her three winter coats for 33 bucks at kohls on clearance. When carters clearance gets marked down to 3,99 I stock uP on pjs. I save so much money this way!
