Saw this on Parenting and made me think

I some times lurk on the Parenting Board and I saw a post regarding visitors after you deliver. I was reading an experience from a BTDT Mom who had a C and I really sympathize w/what she was saying about not wanting ppl bombarding the hospital room.

How do you feel or how do you think you will feel when you deliver?

I can say that I know MIL & FIL are going to be all up in that & MIL is going to want to grab a hold of that kid & NEVER let it go. I honestly appreciate the fact that I know she is going to be all about it, especially since I dont have a Mom myself. I cant help but already start to feel annoyed.... I know, I know wasted energy right now.
I think I'm going to ask DH to tell them that they cant come right away. I am going to want a few hours for just DH & I to bond w/our LO and honestly, I don't want to disrupt or share that experience w/anyone. I know it will turn into a fight, especially w/MIL but whatever, she will have to get over it.

i definitely thought about this because we both have really really big pushy families... i dont really know


also, thats why i hope i go naturally when the time comes so i dont have to spend as much time in the hospital and therefore the visitors situation would be limited... i dont necessarily mind visitors but i would like to be in my own house lol
