Schneider's children's hospital?
Anyone ever go here for their dc? My toddler has been vomiting for a few weeks now We thought it was a stomach virus but it's been too long now....we're off to a ped gastro dr for more tests but I'm anxious to hear what exactly they'll do at this place?
Can anyone give me any info?

Schneider's is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. My daughter spent a few days there with asthma. They take great care of the children and their families. FM me if you have any questions.

I've heard nothing but the best things about Schneider's.
I know two people that had their children there for extended stays. It is entirely geared toward chidren & they have top notch doctors there.

went there last month with my 5 month old and spoke to them again today (ped gi office) they are very hard to get in contact with but once you get them they are good.
dr. moy is very good and i spoke to a np-joanne today who was also VERY helpful.

ds had a procedure done at winthrop and it was the most horrible experience ever. we switched doctors and had the follow-up at schneider's and they were great.
i hope your dc feels better soon!!

I had an appt first with Dr Moy but our ped bumped us up so we're seeing someone else tomorrow.
I hope to find some answers - she is soooo sick it's breaking my heart

DD saw several pediatric gastro's from Schneider's while in the NICU at NSUH. It is the best place on LI for children!!

I agree...Talia was there in the NIcu when she was born (through LIJ) they were wonderful.

My daughter had a life threatening blood disorder when she was 3. She had ITP - meaning her body was attacking her platelets and she had almost none. We started at Stony Brook and much against my husband's will, I made an appointment at Schenider's for a second opinion (he was upset because it was very far for us and we had another baby and I was pregnant). Needless to say, Stony Brook didn't know what the hell they were doing compared to Schneiders. He still thanks me to this day for not listening to him and making that appointment. They are absolutely wonderful!!!!!
