SCHOOL DISTRICT LADIES...
Hello all....also posting this ques. in Pregnancy...
I work for a school district and they are making so many changes to how they handle maternity leave. If you work for a district just curious....
1. How much time do you get for baby?
2. How long do you get paid for once you give birth? do you use your sick days?
3. How about Health insurance?
THANKS :)

Re: SCHOOL DISTRICT LADIES...
I work in a school district. I am currently taking an unpaid year leave. I was paid full salary for 8 weeks after my boys were born. I had a c/s. I did not have to use any sick days. Every school is different. I know my friends school contract is different and they have to use sick time. I think as far as insurance goes I think the fmla kicks in and that is for 12 weeks from the time you have the baby. Then I had to pay my contributions once I was off payroll. Like I said every school districts contract is different.

Re: SCHOOL DISTRICT LADIES...
A little diff than mine.....we only get paid 6 weeks....8 for c/s...we must use sick days....FMLA is the same....I am out till Feb...we are only paying for full health ins. for 2 months. I carry the ins. for us....so I have to go back to work . We cannot afford to pay the insurance more than what we are doing. Good for you to take a full year. I would be able to take 2 full years if we were able to afford it.
It is so great they did not make you use sick days! WOW~
