School Districts
How do you find out which school districts are good? We are currently looking for houses in Nassau County and more towards the South Shore, since we cant afford the north shore. Please help Thanks!

Re: School Districts
People tend to get very sensitive over this issue.
I teach on the South Shore and can tell you (this is not my district) that probably one of the top, if not the top, district on the South Shore is Bellmore-Merrick.
I have a lot of teaching colleagues whose children attend the Bellmore-Merrick schools and I hear excellent things about the teachers and programs.
Keep in mind that statistics (Newsday, etc.) can be skewed either way and often don't come with necessary qualifying information.

I agree. I went to high school in South Bellmore (JFK) and elementary and middle school in Merrick and I think the schools are great.

Re: School Districts
All of the above are really good school districts and you can't go wrong with any of them.
