School Report Card - What's important to you?

when you look at a school report card, what is the most important point you look at? ie, class size, grad rate, % receive regents diploma, % gone to 4yr college... etc...??

to me, the grad rate, 4 yr college & class size (in this order)

Class size is important- also fourth grade reading and math scores. HS is so far off, things could change even before our kids (which we don't have yet) even get to the fourth grade. I just think it's a good indicator.

HS grad rates are not unimportant but I would take them with a grain of salt. High schools do not track the number of their graduates who actually finish college and while there are many reasons why kids don't finish college, I'd be willing to bet that coming in from HS with inadequate preparation is a factor.

My HS always touted its graduation rate and % who went to college. And it seemed like a very small percentage actually finished. Just something to think about.
