Schools are canceled out here (In Rhode Island) for tomorrow already!
How come, when I was a kid...we went to school like NO MATTER WHAT, unless it was like 5 inches of snow on the ground!
Out here, they cancel school the night before because of the forecast! 
"when I was a kid, we walked to school in rain, sleet, snow"...

I know! I remember Northport NEVER closed unless we had 8 inches.

We do not have 1 drop of snow! All schools are canceled-parking bans in effect----snow should ahve started at 4 AM

Now that school isn't uphill from home both ways anymore and we have schoolbuses...

That is annoying,,, maybe they are planning on saving on custodial and hourly salaries as well as Heat for the day!

I've gotten about 6 text message/email alerts from my school district stating that school is NOT closing early, but afterschool activities are canceled. OK.... thanks for the message, but do you have to send the exact same, word-for-word message 5 more times? They've been every 15-20 minutes or so now.

craziness! Someone gave our home number to a school out here and now we get all the phone calls with recording about school closing, report cards, open house, etc
i tried to call there and have them take my number off their list, but they won't!
