Scratch throat...bfing newborn?
My throat has been scratchy feeling since yesterday.. i can feel something coming on.. my DD is only 5 wks old.. and im bfing. Should i stop bfing and give her formula? I dont want her to get ill.

Absolutely do NOT stop- you most certainly can BF while you are sick- even with the flu. BM is not like other body fluids such as saliva and phlegm- it doesn't pass on infections.

BFing will pass on your immunity - keep feeding!
Just wash your hands a lot and wear a mask if you're really concerned...

You definitely should continue bfing. Your milk has antibodies that will help prevent your baby from getting sick.

Do not stop! Breastfeeding is the best thing you can do for DD. You will pass antibodies to her through your milk.
