Screen door opinions....
I have a full glass Pella screen door now that is pretty but I am replacing my front door. My house is white with black shutters and I am replacing a white door with a decorative black door. I'm thinking no screen.....but my dog and baby won't be looking out What do you guys like??

Re: Screen door opinions....
I would get a screen door. I like to keep the front door open to let the light in - and my dog will sit at the door for hours.

When we replaced our front door, we opted for no screen door and while I love the look without it, I really miss it as far as letting fresh air in.

Re: Screen door opinions....
we got the anderson door that is full glass but has half screen stored inside of it (just push down the glass and it becomes half screen). i love the look of full glass but wanted my dog to be able to look out without scratching the screen when he saw something out there so this was the comprimise

We have the Anderson full glass and screen. It can pull down from the top and up from the bottom. We have a full glass wooden door, so we didn't want anything that would block the light.

Re: Screen door opinions....
I think you should get the screen door. We just replaced our doors too and we got the Pella screen door (well, we never put the screen in so, it's just the glass now) and you can see the whole inner door. It looks really nice, and I like the option of keeping the solid door open.

Re: Screen door opinions....
This was a controversial topic for us... When we renovated, I said no screen door, but my hubby did not agree. We decided to keep it without until we feel the need to add one... hopefully he will not feel the need, because I like it without... JMO... You can always add one later.
ps. we've since painted the door the same color as the shutters.
