Seamus 3rd Birthdday party is Saturday and I am freaking out about the weather/heat

Ok I am freaking out..Seamus' 3rd birthday is in our backyard Saturday. A BBQ with 30 family and friends. We live in a townhouse and CANNOT fit them all in there. Im afraid of how hot it it going ot be. They are predicting high 90s with heat indexes at 100. I dont know what to do. I dont want to cancel it but I dont want people ...to be so uncomfortable! Plus, my father just had lung surgery a few weeks ago and being outside in the heat is not good. Im going to keep the AC on inside and anyone who wants to go and sit can, but as I said, not everyone can fit in there! Im freaking out! We are going to have 2 tents in the backyard and I was thinking of getting 2 of those outdoor fans to have on...

I would get the fans. I wouldn't worry about it. It's ummer it's to be expected. People will just in and out for a little rest in the ac. The tents will help a bit. My friend had a party last year, the hottest weekend of the year and we all survived. It was freakin hot and sweaty but what can you do.

Get fans and maybe even some handheld battery operated fans for some of your guests. Maybe use them as a party favor.

I think if you have fans, and people have the opportunity to come in and out, you'll be totally fine.
