Sean Avery Engaged to Hilary Rhoda
Sorry ladies, Sean Avery is off the market!
The former NHL star and his model girlfriend of three years, Hilary Rhoda, "are very happy to announce our engagement," the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively.
"We are excited to plan the most beautiful and fun wedding that we could ever imagine," they also said.
Avery and Rhoda began dating in 2010 and were reportedly on and off before becoming more serious about their romance in the spring of 2013.
The pair are planning to wed sometime next year and are "thinking of Jamaica," according to a source.
Avery, 33 – who played for the Detroit Red Wings, the Los Angeles Kings, the Dallas Stars and the New York Rangers during his 12-year NHL career – is also a former Vogue intern.
His bride-to-be, 26, is best known for her work with Estée Lauder and appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Me too! I just googled lol and found this. Apparently that was completely untrue.

Stooooop. If I was gay and wanted to quell rumors what would I do? Marry a hot model. Sorry, but I really do think he's gay. Either way...gay or not...he's still an asshole.

Why is it that people think he's gay??
Because he likes fashion? Because he worked at Vogue? Because he's friends with Andy Cohen?
Doesnt sound like "gay activities" to me...but I could be wrong.

I can see why people might think he's gay, but I never thought he was. I think he plays along with the rumors to get people talking even more.

I agree, he totally plays it up as a giant middle finger and its hilarious how everyone just feeds right into it

I've always thought he was gay. Way before Vogue & Andy Cohen. My gaydar just goes off with him  he may be an asshole, but I do love his take no shit attitude.
I know I've probably said this before but... He once posted a pic on Instagram of him and a couple of his male friends leaning against a bicycle. Someone made a comment like "Avery hanging out with a couple of fa&&ots" not only did he reply buy he gave the commenter his address and said "come down and say it to my face & then I can bash your face in" I totally believe he would too. I'd want Sean to have my back
