Search Warrants Issued in Anna Nicole Death Investigation
California Department of Justice investigators began serving search warrants on Friday regarding the death of Anna Nicole Smith, the Associated Press reports.
California Attorney General Jerry Brown is expected to make an announcement about the inquiry on Friday afternoon.
Smith died of an accidental drug overdose in a Florida hotel room in February at the age of 39.
Several people close to the former Playboy Playmate have been questioned since Smith's death, including her psychiatrist Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, who traveled with Smith to Florida.
In April, the Medical Board of California announced that it was investigating Eroshevich, who, according to documents, authorized all 11 prescription medications found in Smith's hotel room the day she died.
According to the documents, obtained by the Associated Press through a public records request, more than 600 pills, including 450 muscle relaxants, were missing from prescriptions that were no more than five weeks old.
